A question of Faith

Many times in class I ask you things about the Bible and God. I find it hard to see that some of you are still on the fence about God. I know we all have many questions on the topics but, I think it is what I like to call "an issue of faith". So with that in mind this weeks topic is about Faith. We spend so much time running from God and Our Faith in him because we want to have control of our live and we don't feel we can live up to Gods standards so some no most of us will not even try. So think there will always be tomorrow to get with God let me have fun now. Some even get turned off by other so called Christians who have hurt us and say if that is what it means to be a Christian I don't want it. Some of us say we just don't believe in an all powerful God, and we say Jesus was a good teacher but come on the son of God please. so what I want to know is "What is your fear, what holds your faith if it is not God then what and why? Think hard before you respond and be honest, your eternal life could depend on it.

I am Mr. Morrow - or better known as Coach D. I am your facilitator for this class. My goal is that, through this class, you understand who you are in God's eyes...who He created....what your purposes are and what hinderances might be there lurking to keep you from becoming all you were created to be.
We will have fun. You will be challenged to think a little differently than you might have been trained to think.
But, all in all, let's totally agree to keep an open mind!

Hmm well... I do believe in God because I don't see any other way of life that would compleletly make sense but then I also have my own fears concerning this.
Sometimes I might feel oh if I believe in God I cant go out have a drink or 2 an just have fun when I grow up. I might think we cant have all the fun if we live under God. This is one thing that might keep me a little farther away but I try my best to overcome these feelings of want an just follow God.I know it might be a bad thing to think this but hey you said honest. Alot of people say live life to the fullest possible to then you think oh we cant do everything with God on top of us.
Anyways this is probably the biggest problem I may have when it comes to being close to God. But this doesnt mean I dont believe Him an everything else I've been thought as a Christian.

Its hard to believe in God because we all have questions about him and none have been answered. One of the biggest problem in world is having faith in someone that we don't even see or touch. one of my fears is to die and not know were I'm going. This bothers me because i don't wanna be locked up in fire or be in some fairy land wondering about like everything is nice.

I do believe in God because I have seen all the great things given to us. My greatest fear is to lose someone i love.I do place my faith in God but somtimes I feel as if though he doesnt exist. Especially when i see hungry children on the street with no one to care for them.

well,, I do believe in God. Sometimes it is hard to keep "faith." We always sin and you always feel that you can't be with God so I feel discouraged sometimes. I always try my best to keep faith in Him, but the world is always tempting us to go on a wrong path.

Well.. yeah..Maybe all of us believe in God, but we are not sure.. For a moment we think He really exists, but a while after we have doubts.. We all do.. We have so many questions to ask about god because we have never seen Him, touched Him, talked to Him in person or anything like that. My fair is to not believe in God, behave not that good and then find out there is actually a Heaven and a hell; a God and a devil... That would be terrible. So, we all are not sure if God really exists. And that is why people say we need to have FAITH.Which is hard to. We also know that the world and everything in it didn't come about just like that.. So there has to be a creator.. SO.. i don't really know what to think.. I need to have more Faith..

I want to take the time to respond to some of the things you have said. I hear alot about how you all have questions about God because you don't see, feel, speak with him. Well what is it that you want and need to know about it? In repsonse the wondering if God is real because we see suffering in the world. Well I say lets not blame God when we can fix many if not all the issues in the world. We tend to want control of our lives but we don't want to be responsible for bad things that happen because of the choices we make.
Fear is the major player in keeping us from coming to, being closer to, or even seeing Gods wonders. As I have told you before Fear cannot exist around God. We find that we fear many things to many to list here, but you know yours. Fear is a fleshy thing and has no place around faith. I know you all hear many time about how we need to have more faith and faith without work is dead, and many other faith quotes. Well before you can have faith you must loose the fear. Whatever the fear is you have, like fear of being wrong about God. Like Fear that your not worthy of God, or even Fear that you will look bad to other if you do belive in God. All these things and more are from the Devil to keep us down. We are not call to be perfect for God so get over it.
We find that God has many rules, and we feel that they will keep us from having fun. Like some have said that not drinking or parties and things like that. Well that is not true at all we do have bonderies but they are to keep us safe. Example: Some of you talk about drinking well mans laws say your all to young anyway. it is not because we are tring to keep you from having fun. In most cases it is because at your age you don't know self-control. Addictions can keep us down so we put laws in place to keep us from going down that path. Drugs can do that and we all know it but some of us will not care because they make you feel good. God tell us to moderate ourselves so we do not fall into addictions. So keep the faith and leave the fear, then you will start to see God. Open your hearts and your spirits to recieve Him and then you will get to know the truth of who he is.

My fears are more physical than spiritual. I barely hold any faith of any god.

My fear is be alone.
If there is no God, I think only I can holds my faith, because before I know God, I was not doing good at live with someone else. I only believe myself, I feel if I believe someone now, next minute they will hurt me. So I only believe myself.

I tried to believed in Him, but it just so hard. Why he make my life so miserable? i don't see that He is helping me and my life. yes, i did try to play to Him at night, but i don't see any difference. It is kind of hard for me. i don't believed in buddhism, because i already know that that god is not the god i want. and right now, all i want is some miracles from this God.

I do believe in God and i dont think im on the ''border line'' because i know that He is exists. He was there before during and after my lifetime. Most people trust in the chair they sit in more than they do God. Chairs are small and visible while God is Large and Invisible. I would so go for the large one because i feel more 'covered'. I do believe in God but that doesnt mean i have no questions.. i have plenty but questions dont change the TRUTH. God Exists and is in Action every second of every day. God loves us and cares for us. He keeps us alive every day and watches over us at night. He allows us to be tempted and hurt by the devil but he does not allow us to be overwhelmed by it. God RoCKs!=D

My fear is if I get in an accident, because I travel from Belmopan to Dangriga and Dangriga to Belmopan every week. I hold my faith in God because of the Bible and at church because we learn alot about God. Alot of people has alot of questions about God and I sometimes wonder if God exist.

well my greatest fear is kinda personal but i do fear God if thats what you mean. i believe in God and i believe that he wants us all to be happy but in the right way... i no i have alot of questions about God and Christianity but i cant exactly remember each one, they come to me randomly day after day. i think most of my questions are on the revelation and the events in the revelation. God will always be God and will always and forever love us!!!! <3 =)

my trust and faith is completely in God. i might have an occasion were i question my faith asking if there is really a God but then i realize that God is actully alive. i also have a lot of questions to ask God but its common to be curious about certain things. i think my greatest fear is that i would end up in the "ghetto" in heaven. that i wouldnt hear the words of "well done my child".

i believe in God and i try everyday to be the person God wants me to be. and i do have my questions about God, but thats normal. i know he is with me no matter where i go. i love God and i know he loves me.

Ok, here's the thing. I believe there is a God, and I really wanted to follow his rules and laws but I just can't seem to follow it! The thing that holds my faith is that sin is really fun (I'm being honest)! I kept sin, and I prayed that God can help me or stop me from doing sin, but it never happen. And since I already break so much rules, I guess I'm just don't have that much faith in God anymore.

I believe that there is a God and that Jesus iis his son and died for us. The only real problem I have is proof other than the bible, I know we are supposed to live by faith but it is diffivult in this day in age with all that is occuring around us. All this said, I still believe in God.

Well I must say that I absolutley belive in God, and I also have to agree that sometimes there are situation when your faith is on the edge of the cliff. Like Michael said, there is no other proof other than the Bible, and therefore that requires strong faith and commitment to God.

well...maybe i believed GOD, but i have tried to understand him.
I know GOD is good for me and he always love me. I know GOD a lot of thing, but why i can't really believed?? Because i fear the Bible, Bible is hard to understand!! Well......I will tried to understand Bible!!

I believe in the powerful God of all...he is the realdeal any ways .... but sometimes i feel like just stop believe in him ..... but i don't .
