Christian Ed 10 11

Ok in this blog I want you all to respond as to why we sometimes do wrong even when we know it is not right.  Use your Bible to show what is right and wrong as well as what you hae been taught to do.  Be open with how you respond and you may even respond to what others have posted.  The close out date for this blog will be on the 16th on Dec.  So don't be late.....

Please take a few minutes to answer the questions in the link below.
We need everyone to answer this survey.  Since it is a survey, I am not asking you to put your name on it - but I need to have all students answer it.
Thanks.

So how would you say most of us act today?  Do you feel that we are Self-Serving or Self Sacrificing?  Take a few lines to explain the one you choose and why you picked it.

Ok so what I am asking you in this blog is to tell me how you see God.  I know some of you will want to be short with your responses, but I want you to be detailed at to how you see God.  Then we will talk about the truth of who God is.

Ok so I will give you the usual time to respond to this blog.  I really want you to put some thought into it before you poast your responses.
So we all know that Jesus from the time he could understand most things knew what his purpose was in life.  He spent everyday working to live up to it and to fufill it.  He spent 30 years getting ready for his 3 years of ministry.  In the end it was worth it.  Imagine the weight he must have carried knowing when, and how he would die, and still doing what he knew was right, by walking the path God set before him.  What strength, what courage it must have taken to see the end before it came.
I am glad not to have that much weight to carry, and I think you might be too.  I do know that as a young person it is often hard for us to know what we want to do in life let alone what we are called to do.  With the way the world is and the pull of life from so many directions.  How do we chose the right path to take?  How do we know the outcome will be good?  How will it all end, and where will we be when the lights go out?  Strange as it may sound I want you to think about all these things as you prepare to write this.  What is your purpose, and what kind of legecy will you leave behind?
I feel in my spirit that some of you will try to be as breif and generic as possible.  Some of you want to do just enough to get by, but I urge you to really put some thought and time into your response and give it your best.
In all we do let our light shine bright.  During the day it is easy to miss our light because we are surounded by the love and light God give:
So how bright will we shine in the dead of night when the wind blows hard and our worlds not right?  Will we giveup and fall short of grace or turn and run as we face our fate?  Will we give our all or just get by to achive our best or fall down and cry?  From the top the veiw is the same for all.  So fear not my child and heed your call, to be the best in life that you can be.  Follow God's great plan that he has for thee, and when the end comes as it surely will, know that you stood tall and filled the bill.  God's grace and love I pray upon you.  Let Him open your eyes to what you should do.
So the rest is up to you respond well as I will be grading them on how much time you spend and detailed you are.

So we see in the OT. that the Jewish people have many laws to follow.  One of them is the yearly feast they must have.  The one I would like to blog about is from yesterday.  "The Day of Attonment"  and what you think it mean to you as a Christian or if you were a Christian.  This Day is set aside each year for God's people to refect on the past year and atone for the bad things they did.  This is one of the Divine Appointments set aside for God and His people.  So Do you feel this should still be done today?  Say that you did do this what would be some things you may have done that you would like to take back or be forgiven for?

Many times in class I ask you things about the Bible and God.  I find it hard to see that some of you are still on the fence about God.  I know we all have many questions on the topics but,  I think it is what I like to call "an issue of faith".   So with that in mind this weeks topic is about Faith.  We spend so much time running from God and Our Faith in him because we want to have control of our live and we don't feel we can live up to Gods standards so some no most of us will not even try.  So think there will always be tomorrow to get with God let me have fun now.  Some even get turned off by other so called Christians who have hurt us and say if that is what it means to be a Christian I don't want it.  Some of us say we just don't believe in an all powerful God, and we say Jesus was a good teacher but come on the son of God please.  so what I want to know is "What is your fear, what holds your faith if it is not God then what and why?  Think hard before you respond and be honest, your eternal life could depend on it.

Please tell me your thoughts on this video.

If God came to each of you and ask you if you were worthy of his love and if you have followed his laws and should go to heaven how would you respond?

Where did the term Trinity come from, and what are the names and attribubutes of each?

    "Coach D"

I am Mr. Morrow - or better known as Coach D.  I am your facilitator for this class.  My goal is that, through this class, you understand who you are in God's eyes...who He created....what your purposes are and what hinderances might be there lurking to keep you from becoming all you were created to be.
We will have fun.  You will be challenged to think a little differently than you might have been trained to think.
But, all in all, let's totally agree to keep an open mind!
